I challenged myself in the month of June to get back to creating card tutorials. I am calling it my Thirty Day Challenge. I have been keeping on track getting those posted over on my YouTube channel but not so good getting them over here on my blog. Rather than post each separately I thought I would do a weekly update!
I have also created a Facebook Group, Paper Stamp Inkers. You’re invited to join the group where we are sharing inspiration with each other. If you want to join the challenges I am also giving away a prize for every day in the month of June. It’s not too late to be a part of the Thirty Day Challenge. You can pick and choose the days your want to participate.
Here is a synopsis of week one’s posts. I hope you enjoy!
For the first day we have these quick little gift folios. They use a single sheet of 6×6 patterned paper. Use them to hold a gift card, bag of tea, chocolate or just a sweet note. These are great to have around for when you need just a little something to show appreciation or let someone know you care.
For Day two I used the adorable little cow from the Over the Moon stamp set and played with my alcohol markers. This simple layout is one you can switch up with different sentiments, paper and focal images to match any occasion.
Day Three is a card using Patterned Paper for the base. It’s a great way to show off both sides of that beautiful paper! This unique design always gets a second look.
Day Four includes a Slimline Card. If you haven’t tried this style out it is a lot of fun. I likes the bigger canvas for creating designs. And they even fit in a standard size No 10 envelope! I also show you how to create your own envelope to match your card and share a tip for using your stamp positioning tool with die cuts.
Day Five was a Father’s Day card and some tips on mixing and matching patterned paper without clashing.
Day Six we had a fun fold card challenge with this split panel card front. Who can resist this cute little raccoon bringing a birthday balloon. Images are from the Special Someone stamp set.
Day Seven we played with off balanced cards. Everything doesn’t always have to line up neat and tidy! This wonky card design is so much fun. I also share some die cutting tips.
I hope you’ll come on over to the facebook group and play along. If you haven’t already subscribed to my YouTube channel make sure you do that so you don’t miss out on all the great tutorials.
