I created 9 Paper Pumpkin Alternatives with this month’s kit. Paper Pumpkin kits are so much fun to receive every month. Stampin’ Up! provides suggested projects to complete using the items in the kits but I like to share with you new ways to use the kit and hopefully inspire you to think outside the box…the Paper Pumpkin Box!
I try to stay as true to the kit as possible by only using a few outside items. Generally I will bring in coordinating card stock for layering and bases. This month I also utilized some inks other than the one included in the kit. I also brought in my white gel pen and white embossing powders. My corner chomper https://amzn.to/2AvGQhM came in handy to round corners on some of the card bases to match the rounded panels.
This kit was made to create postcards with stamps for the where and when to put information on the back. Some of the sentiments really were not ones that I would utilize a lot so I left several of them blank. That way I can come back later and add a sentiment appropriate for the occasion or simply leave it blank and write my message on the inside. I like to have blank cards available so these were great!
You can see the video tutorial with details on how I created the alternatives here:
I skipped over the June kit, it was a busy month preparing a video a day for my YouTube channel! You can check out the May kit alternatives here: https://www.paperstampink.com/2020/05/27/paper-pumpkin-alternatives-may-2020/en after creating 9 cards I still have so many fun bits and pieces left to make additional projects and of course the stamp set and ink spot will go into my collection!

Hi. When I get too much of the Tombow glue on something, I try to rub the back of another item I want to glue down, onto the “blob” of glue.
I used a lot of glitter glue on the “fireworks” and firefly butts. LOL Another thing I do, is sponge dark ink around the edge the white labels like these, or DTP -rubbing the edge of the label across the ink pad for some definition.

Great suggestions. Glitter glue is one thing I actually don’t have in my craft room. Hmmm…something to add to my list! I too love running the labels along an ink pad when I don’t want to mat or use dimensionals.
