I am just loving the bright colors and fun images in the Scrapping for Less June Kit! Below are the first five cards for this first batch. Each collection was used to make one card and then the fifth card used items from the add on Banana Split level.
Card 1
For this first card I used the cut outs provided with the kit for my focal image. Because of these cut outs you can make some super quick cards! This fun fold was created by simply cutting the bottom two inches off of the card base. This allows that piece to be used for my sentiment and focal image. The red dots were punched from the background with a standard hole punch which allows me to get more use out of the matting layer.
Card Two
Card two is another fun fold with a split panel design. Making this card reminded me of those steel slides we had on the playground growing up. Oh, the dilemma on a hot summer day! Doe anyone else remember trying to decide how much you really wanted to slide and how you could do so without touching that hot metal? We always found a way.
Card 3
This adorable little frog was the focus of this next card. I couldn’t resist doing a little stamp surgery. Cutting the “e” out of the word hope created this ‘Hop you are doing well” sentiment. I just couldn’t resist the pun! Don’t be afraid to cut apart your stamps. You can always realign them on your block if you want the original sentiment.
Card 4
This little monkey is so adorable! I cut this sentiment apart as well. The original sentiment speaks to our current times and reads “Let’s Hang Out….6 Feet Apart”. I decided to just use half of the image and half of the sentiment for this one. Don’t you think the leaf vine ribbon included in the kit is a perfect accent along with the enamel dots?
Card 5
Lastly, for card number 5 I went back to the punched pieces included in the kit and used the stencil to create the grass. Flip the stencil over and use two different colors of ink to get added depth and interest.
Hopefully you enjoyed these cards using the Scrapping for Less June kit. Consider subscribing to the Scrapping for Less card kit. It is a great value and I have so many more cards to create! I plan to start a “Kill the Kit” series where I will finish off the kit and share how many cards I was able to create.
